Carlos “Sir Los” Jordan is a Record Executive, Record Producer, Songwriter an DJ.
He grew up in the suburban area of Cleveland,Texas a community just north of Houston. Sir Los begin spinning turntables at the tender age of 14.
By the time he entered college on a football Scholarship at the University of Houston. He was already established as a local DJ in the Cleveland and Houston area.
While attending college, Sir Los begin promoting parties and events for the sororities and fraternities in the Houston & Dallas area. During this time Sir Los also started booking shows through a local promoter IPP (Isiah Payne) for Houston Indie Label, Rap-A-Lot Records.
Sir Los big break came in 1996 when he landed a consultant job with the BMG (Bertelsmann Music Group) Corporation. For the next 8 years he handled
Street and Retail Promotions in the South Region (Texas) for the likes of; Diddy, R.Kelly Usher, Pink, Alicia Keys, Outkast, TLC, Toni Braxton, Jamie Foxx,
Monica, Tyrese, Cee-lo, DJ Quik, 112, Faith Evans, YoungBloodz, Vivian Green, D’Angelo, Petey Pablo, Olivia, Goodie Mob, Donell Jones & Eric Sermon.
In 2005, Sir Los launched Nu’Compass Entertainment; a full service entertainment company primarily focusing on Artist development, Management, In-house Production and Promotions.
Sir Los and his Nu’Compass Imprint released its first project (Sir Los presents The B Side Project) through a distribution deal with Global Music & BMG.
The Compilation album was primarily promoted in the south region (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida) and was
marketed and promoted as a Mix-Tape.
The album featured Remixed material by; R.Kelly, Snoop Dogg, Bilal, DJ Quik, Jadakiss, Murphy Lee, Nate Dogg, YoungBloodz, Six’8″ and No Good. “The B Side Project”,
moved modest units for an Independent label and created a buzz around the Sir Los & Nu’Compass brand.
The entire B-Side Project was Co-Produced, Written and Executive Produced by Sir Los himself.
In 2007, Sir Los Produced and wrote several tracks for the #1 show in the world, The HBO hit Series “Entourage”. The Produced tracks were to appear on Episodes for the up-coming
Season (Five) as well as its Soundtrack. Unfortunately Due to the “Writers Strike” in November of 2007. The produced songs for the show never materialize.
With Season 5 being pushed back numerous times and the shows executives wanting to go in a different direction all together. Sir Los was left outside pondering his next move.
In early 2008 Sir Los was back in the studio working on his new album “Affiliate Nation”. Affiliate Nation, was to be Sir Los first major release through a
Distribution deal with RED & Sony/ BMG. The bulk of the compilation album was produced, written and executive produced by Sir Los himself.
The project was to feature an assortment of A- list talent from around the globe, such as; Akon, Fabolous, Collie Buddz, Flipsyde, Tinchy Stryder, Ky-Mani Marley,
Ms. Dynamite, Paul Wall, Savage, Belly, Jessica Mauboy, Travis McCoy (of the Gym Class Heroes), Rock City, Paula Deanda, Massari and Bakari Myles.
The new album was set for release in the U.S in January 2009 and in Europe in the summer 2009. Due to constant changes, overhauling within the label and BMG selling its last 50%
share to Sony. Sir Los found himself again in a bad and all to familiar situation. With new execs , a new direction, new agendas and new artist.
Sir Los and his “Affiliate Nation” project became less of a priority for Sony and was soon put on the back burner indefinitely.
In late 2008, The “Affiliate Nation” project was revamped along with a title change, “My Affiliates & The Entourage”. A promotional tour was put in place to support the project.
The tour was to be a cross marketing/ promotions campaign for Sir Los album “My Affiliates & The Entourage” along with HBO hit series “Entourage”. The Idea was to promote the
cd as a mixtape to create a buzz, while generating awareness for Entourage’s up-coming season.
The tour targeted selected U.S cities such as: Houston, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles & New York. The 8 city promo tour was a big success and
created great exposure for Sir Los and his brand.
In 2009, Sir Los teamed up with CBS to work on a new reality show called “The Great Raise”. The reality show was a spin-off to CBS Emmy Award Winning hit series”Amazing Race”.
Sir Los produced the music for the pilot and was the shows Music Director. The Great Raise was primarily filmed on location in Houston, Dallas and Los Angeles.
The shows Pilot premiered regionally in February 2009 to great reviews.
In the summer of 2010, Sir Los Joined the XDC- Remix Award Tour. One of the worlds largest car shows and competition to date. Sir Los was brought on to be one of the official car show
host and assist with solidifying musical talent for the event. Artist that have performed on the tour are; DJ Khaled, Far East Movement, Ace Hood, T-Pain, Jeremih, Mann,
Qwes Kross (of 5050/Konvict), DJ Rocky Rock (of The Black Eyed Peas), Red Suit Apparatus & Chaise Candie.
In late 2011, Sir Los teamed up with movie director Adrian Allen on his new Indie film “The Heart of Summer”. Sir Los will be making his big screen debut as a local DJ/club owner
and pins the movie score as well. He also is the executive producer on the movie soundtrack. The Heart of Summer, was filmed primarily in Miami and Jamaica.
The film is starring Award Winning Actor; Paul Campbell, Tesh Humphries, Lex Kelly-Meade and is Directed By:Adrian Allen.
“Heart of Summer” is due out in late 2012.
Currently Sir Los is in the studio working on a new album “Welcome To My World”. The album will be be Sir Los’s 1st official full length LP as an Artist. The album is very commercial
oriented mixture of Electronic, Dance with a little splash of Hip Hop, R&B, Latin and Euro wrapped all in one. Welcome To My World, is solely being produced by Sir los and his partner Jasdeep
(J&S Vibes). Slated to appear on the project are; Akon, Pitbull, Kelly Rowland, Kid Cudi, Tinie Tempah, Ms.Dynamite & Don Dinero. With also features from NuCompass in-house
artists- Sarasol, Galan, Anastar & Sirrah Money.
“Welcome To My World” Is schedule for release in early 2013.
